QUILA HOUSE, PATNA

Hello friends, do you know about the mysterious places located in your own state?

I know most of you are not aware of it. So please read this article about Patna's Quila House.

This Quila House of Patna is located near Qila road, Hajigang Patna (Bihar). This house was later transformed into a private museum by a well known businessmen of Patna of time.
This museum antiqued four poster beds of Napoleon III, dinner set of king George III and the ivory planquin of Tipu Sulan.

Most of us are not aware of this hidden gem in our own capital city Patna. This Quila is constructed at the foundation of Sher Shah's Fort, this private museum contains around 10,000 objects, which includes Mughal filigree, 200 years old persian rugs, chinese idols from the 7th century and jade belonging to 20 BC.

It was bought in 1919 Diwan Bahadur Radha Krishna Jalan, a well known businessman of Patna of that time so this museum is named as Jalan Museum of Patna.
The collection of antiques and onjects of art that you get to see in this private museum were collected by him during his tour of six months to Europe between 1935 to 1937 during his tour he visited several European auction houses.

Today the ground floor of the Jalan Museum is used for displaying R.K Jalan's collections .
Many of these collections like the silver utensils, furnitures and porcelains are still used by Jalan's family for special occasions.

But the most important fact about this museum is that people still believe that the Jalan's Museum is residence of many ghosts which often makes you feel their presence once you visit the museum. It is said that many people have been slapped by an invisible spirit there. But yet there are no restrictions by the government on it's visit because it is a private property.

But if you visit this museum of Patna, don't forget to check out the celedon plate collection as these plates are said to change it's colour or crack if the poisonous food was served on them. Also remember to see the stunning jewelry cutlery cabinet that was custom-made for king Henery II of France.
